Every year our family meets up with the Couture family to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday and catch up on the past year with our families. Typically this happens in Wilmington, NC, however, this year we met up in Nags Head, NC. We had a great vacation. Even though it was only four days.... the kids played hard, the grown ups caught up on old times, and we managed to have some fun too!!!!! We toured three of North Carolina's lighthouses in one day! We took the ferry over to Ocracoke Island for a day trip adventure with the kids and visited the lighthouse and Blackbeard's stomping ground, Teach's Hole (where legend has it Blackbeard died). We played on the beach and celebrated the Independence Day holiday with sparklers for the kids and watched fireworks from the beach house front porch. What a great long summer weekend with friends!!!
