Glass jars from Wal Mart, popsicle sticks, craft paint, ribbon and a sharpie. Each of the boys has their own jar with their own chores written on the sticks. One end of the sticks has the chore, the other end painted their color. Once the chore is done, flip the stick up to the color end.
At the end of the week, check the jars. If all the sticks are flipped "color up," they get a trip to the reward jar!
The reward jar had to be appropriate for the boys, ages 11, 6 and 3, so there is a mixture of money rewards, as well as things like being able to skip vegetables at dinner, or pick breakfast over the weekend.
So far, the boys LOVE this new system!
